My goddaughter (Amaya) today posted her recollection of her greatgrandfather (my granddad) and commented on how little she remembers of him but his smile. That tells its own story. There are so many things that we think of when reflecting on the past; heartbreak, happiness, joy, pain, fun times and the no-so fun times. Life is a collection of those memories. The fact that you have such a vivid recollection of his smile means his life had meaning and relevance to you, even at your young age. A smile represents happiness and contentment if genuine and is infectious when delivered with sincerity. Take that blessing and pass it on so that others may benefit from your words today. (I did)
